On November 21, 2022, Dr. Michal Parniak from the Center for Quantum Optical Technologies was awarded with a certificate of the 2nd edition of the Frank Wilczek Prize, awarded to young Polish scientists for remarkable discoveries in physics, astronomy or related fields. The laureate was honored for his achievement entitled Developing new experimental platforms for quantum research and technology and their use to demonstrate state-of-the-art quantum phenomena and protocols. The Frank Wilczek Prize was established in February 2019, granted every two years to young Polish scientists. The prize is funded by the Department of Physics, Astronomy and Applied Computer Science of the Jagiellonian University and the Kosciuszko Foundation.
